Proclamation No. 596

 

 

EXCLUDING FROM THE OPERATION OF PROCLAMATION NO. 573 DATED JUNE 26, 1969, WHICH ESTABLISHED THE ANGAT RIVER-BUSTOS DAM FOREST RESERVE SITUATED IN THE PROVINCE OF BULACAN, A CERTAIN PORTION OF THE LAND EMBRACED THEREIN, LOCATED IN BARANGAYS BAYABAS AND CABAYUNAN, MUNICIPALITY OF DOŅA REMEDIOS TRINIDAD, PROVINCE OF BULACAN, AND RESERVING THE SAME AS THE SITE OF THE BAYABAS DAM PROJECT

 

Upon recommendation of the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources, and by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, do hereby exclude from the operation of Proclamation No. 573 dated June 26, 1969, which established the Angat River-Bustos Dam Forest Reserve situated in the Province of Bulacan, a certain portion of the land embraced therein, located in Barangays Bayabas and Cabayunan, Municipality of Doņa Remedios Trinidad, Province of Bulacan, and reserving the same as the site of the Bayabas Dam Project, subject to private rights, if there be any, and to final survey, which portion of land is more particularly described as follows:

 

A PARCEL OF LAND, (Portion of Parcel No. 5 {Angat River-Bustos Dam Forest Reserve}, Proclamation No. 573 (dated June 26, 1969), located at Bayabas and Cabayunan, Doņa Remedios Trinidad, Bulacan, bounded on the North, East, South and West by portion of Parcel No. 5, Proclamation No. 573.

 

Beginning at a point marked “1” on the plan, with Latitude 15 deg. 57 min. 16 sec. N. and Longitude = 120 deg. 05 min. 57 sec. E., thence:

 

                        N. 48-00 E.,                                    4,592.00 M to point 2;

                        S. 86-00 E.,                                     1,618.00 M to point 3;

                        N. 57-00 E.,                                    2,108.00 M to point 4;

                        S. 27-00 E.,                                     1,451.00 M to point 5;

                        S. 38-00 W.,                                    3,979.00 M to point 6;

                        S. 26-00 W.,                                    1,992.00 M to point 7;

                        N. 83-55 W.,                                   3,643.48 M to point 8;

                        N. 16-23 W.,                                   1,797.80 M to point of

 

Beginning, containing an approximate area of TWENTY FOUR MILLION AND THIRTY THOUSAND (24,030,000) SQUARE METERS.

 

All prior vested rights, existing settlers, and/or cultivators in the area shall be properly compensated for whatever improvements, resettlements, and crop values, to be mutually agreed upon by the concerned parties and government agencies.

 

The utilization of forest trees within the area so excluded shall remain under the power and authority of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources in accordance with existing, forestry rules and regulations.

 

The area shall automatically revert to its former status as permanent forest reserves if the Bayabas Dam Project is not implemented or has been terminated.

 

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
